After the 2006-07 Hunting season we will be doing some adjustments to the land. The roads are getting in bad shape from washing of the rains. The Lone Oak Tree on the West Plot is getting ready to fall and there are no other trees offering good archery setups for the plot. Future plans are to increas the size of the plot about double in size. The edges of the plot will be moved to get near trees that could offer good stand sites for bow hunting.
Also on the plot we intend to build a stand that can accomodate handicapped hunters. Hopefully in the near future we can offer hunts to people that don't have much opportunity to experience the thrill that we all get from this sport.

This is the "Camp Rd." It goes from the side of the camp to the main part of the property. Only minor repairs were done in this area leaving as much of the grass as possible to prevent further erosion. The next picture is on the Camp Rd. just past the "Grand Canyon" going up to the "Bad Hill" The dirt used for the road bed came from the Bad Hill. This is the "Bad Hill" which isn't quite so bad anymore.

This is a new plot. I may just plant beans here so that I can hunt it 7 to 10 days after planting. It is just past the Bad Hill on the Camp Rd. and is on the edge of the woods. It is more of a Funnel type area. About 40 yards from here is where my brother saw the "Chocolate Moose" 20+" IS 10 pt. 250 lbs. He hasn't been seen since the first year but it does show that big bucks pass through this area. There are several trees that are not on the plot that would make better bow stands (25 - 30 yds).

The East Plot had some improvements also. About 10 foot wide around the edge of the plot was taken back from the cutover. This is the south end of the E-Plot. The tree with the pink ribbon is a Mayhaw tree I planted a few years ago. The stump is laying on the side of the E-Plot Rd. going back towards the camp. The box Stand which was in the middle of the cutover has been openned up. More than I really wanted to but it's done now. The 1st picture is looking south from the E-Plot. The next 2 pictures are from theE-Plot Rd. which is now turned into an extension of the E-Plot. This is part of the extension onto the E-Plot. This tree will make an pretty good bow stand.
