On October 3rd I shot a hog on the T-Plot late. Ididn't see where it ran off as there were 6 hogs in front of me. Checking my arrow there was a little blood but mostly ground up corn and gut. I made an attempt to find it but did not want to go after a wounded hog in cutover at night by myself. There was not a drop of blood on the ground that I could find. I thought I made a bad shot. When Cro came to hunt with me, after the morning hunt on Monday we planted some more seed on the T-Plot and Cro smelled the dead hog. It was only a few yards off the plot but in a direction that I did not think it went. The hog was much bigger that I thought and although I am sory to waste the animal I am glad to be rid of it. The hogs are moving in big time now and this is the worst deer season for Trailcam bucks that I have ever had. It could be the hogs are keeping the deer away. Here is Cro dragging out my hog

We set the hog trap Monday and baited it a couple of times seing some activity the first time but could not tell if it was hogs or coons. The second time we added more sour corn and the hogs ate it all the way up to the trip wire. I decided not to rebait the trap to see if they would come back to get the rest of the corn. THEY DID!!!! I guess Cro just has the touch. Hope it rubbed off on me and I catch all the rest....well a few more anyway. I will move the trap to the west ridge next week and try for that big boar and the two big sows, or any other pig that wants to come to dinner.
