When I went to the land yesterday I looked closely at the field that used to be corn. Some of the stalks were bitten off but some were just pushed over. This made me rethink about the culprets being coons. They may well be but something else was there also. I got this picture last night. Also a few pictures from 8/4 and 8/5 of this guy or another one that looks like him. Last time I was at the land I set the trap with the door tied open. I pulled the trigger wire tight and wedged it under a bungie cord so that coons could not move it. The trigger wire was pulled loose and drug into the cage. I set the trap yesterday but did not tie the door open. I was hoping to catch a couple of shoats that have been hanging around. I found this in my trap instead. I am stooping a few feet behind the trap so there is a little bit of an illusion on the size of the hog but I wasn't getting any closer. Shortly after this picture was taken the hog rushed the other side of the cage and knocked the cage off the ground and moved it a few inches. He should be on his way to one of the hog pens where there are hogs for archers to shoot. One of the neighbors brought his catch dogs and was going to turn it loose for them to catch but he said that they would tear the hog up pretty bad and this one would make a good trophy for someone. He catches hogs all the time and he estimated it to be about 280 lbs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoIHTerxdas
