January 28, 2007 at Greenwood My brother's son, Justin, killed his first deer today. It was a 100 lb. doe that he shot with a 50 caliper ML. The bottom picture shows the sabbot on the the left and the bullet on the right. Although the sabbot didn't actually penetrate all the way through the hide the bullet did. But the bullet had no expansion what so ever. The only explanation that we could come up with is that one of the two powder peelts must have gotten wet with all the rain and did not fire. Wouldn't it be really neat to kill a second deer with the same bullet?G]
