Thant's some great pictures but you need to tell the story. It makes great reading several years from now and may help you remember what went on at that little spot you found.

Opening day You're either a genius or duemas , on this day i guess i was a genius. But as my sons would say the "5 P's'' PRIOR PREPERATION PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE. Opening day your either ready or not, so i thought i was ready, stand set was good, wind was good , prior trail cam pics told me deer would either be in around 7:30 am or 10:30. The morning was cool and calm but deer activity was null. So at around 9:30 i decided to hang out to 10:30 to see if trail cam pics would prove to be correct. At 9:57 am trail cams turn to gold. I heard a deer coming from my back side , and turn to my left and pic up a doe coming in from the west when she got 2yds behind me she stoped and stared at the food plot which was 40 yds in front of me. At this time i thought about shooting her but i would have to turn around to my left which is doable but i chose to wait. she then headed to the food in a hooking from my left motion and stop 1yd from my shooting lane , thats when her senses kicked in and she whirled around and was getting out of dodge. She4 did not realize that was a big mistake, she put me in what i like to call the [ DEAD ZONE]. This is when i commit to taking the shot at all cost. This has proved to be deadly to all who try to leave. So at 17yds and moving pretty quick she entered the DEAD ZONE . I'm still amazed to this day how I can make these shots but I think there pure instinct. So am I good or lucky?
