Well, it's not as though I had a lot to do with it but I believe my effort helped. "Mr. Cull" showed up late last season. He was what I called a cull buck at the time. I had the wrong impression. But, he was one of the bucks I really wanted to see what happened to in one more year. Does his off sided antler trait hold true year after year. It seems one of my neighbors though he was a cull also becasue around January 24th he was shot in the leg. I lost him for a few weeks then I started picking him up on the trailcam in Austin's Alley. He seemed to be getting weaker so I put a feeder at the location to give him a little high fat content. He stayed there until late March and was looking poor the last time I saw him. I smelled something dead in the bottom but I never investigated the source. I assumed it was him. I hadn't seen him in a while. In early July I got pictures of a wide spread deer at South fork. I never noticed the leg and it wasn't until I picked him up at Trader park on some close ups that BigW showed me the leg. It was "Mr. Cull". He comes and goes and hasn't been a steady customer since the archery season began but he definately looks good now. At 3.5 years of age he is not a giant but he would be a hard deer to pass on. If he makes it one more year we will all see what a cull buck looks like.
